What to do with a can of Coke

After reading Monday's wonderful post I came across a short article in Bicycle magazine, July 2009, that I want to share.

It discusses the versatility of a 12 oz can of Coke.

Drink it.  Even though it is not an ideal energy drink it will provide you with 39 grams of carbohydrate.  Of course, it is recommended to dilute the soda to half its strength with water and never chug it.  Due to gastric distress.  Yuck!

Pour it.  The article goes into great detail on its use in dissolving rust and corrosion that builds up in the seat post.  Yuck!

Shoot it.  After using the coke for one of the above items the article recommends sitting the empty can on a stump and shooting it with a BB gun to improve balance and reaction time on the bike.  Ha!

Good reasons not to drink Coke, pop or soda.

I have actually used Diet Coke to clear a clogged drain before. I usually use baking soda and vinegar, didn't have any vinegar.. so I resorted to the Handy dandy can of Diet Coke and baking soda.. cleared it right out..

Most people I know in Texas call it a coke even if it is not a coke. As in "Let's go get a coke!" I can't imagine how I once loved them. Now no cokes since March. And that's ok.

I just joined this blog today, I definitely need some group support in my ongoing journey to lose weight. I lose some then gain it back, you know the cycle. Gave up coke and pepsi for about 6 month then gave back in..hoping to find some support on here and be a support..worked with a trainer for over a year so I know a lot...just have to do it. I'm trying to reach my goal weight which is about 50 lbs from here. Was originally 25 but I'm down that much. Took a year to do that.
